SUMMARY:
A marketâleading organisation is looking for an Internal Auditor to drive strong governance, sharpen internal controls, and deliver meaningful assurance. This is a handsâon role covering endâtoâend audits, risk reviews, and process improvements, working closely with leadership across the business. Ideal for someone who enjoys finding gaps, challenging processes, and raising standards.
POSITION INFO:
Own and execute headâoffice internal audits from planning through to reporting
Analyse processes, risks, and controls to assess how the business really operates
Evaluate financial controls at trialâbalance level, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Track and test remediation actions to ensure issues are properly resolved
Identify control gaps and recommend practical, valueâadding improvements
Get involved in special reviews, investigations, and ad hoc projects
Apply dataâdriven audit techniques to improve coverage and efficiency
Help evolve and embed consistent audit standards and ways of working
Support learning initiatives and governance documentation where needed
Skills & Experience:
At least 4 years’ audit experience, including exposure to internal audit
SAICA articles completed would be advantageous, but not a prerequisite
Solid understanding of internal audit frameworks and riskâbased audit approaches
Good working knowledge of finance, accounting, procurement, and inventory environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex information independently
Confident, professional communicator able to engage across business levels
Experience with ERP platforms or internal audit systems is a plus
Qualification:
Minimum of a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Internal Audit
Completed SAICA articles beneficial
