JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• To assist the company in achieving its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

• Perform regular (informal) self-assessments to evaluate your knowledge (including fraud risk, IT risk), skill and competence and request training when deemed necessary.
• Conduct internal audits (subject to approved plan amendments based on exposure), ad hoc management requests and investigations within approved internal audit budget.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honours (Accounting/Internal Audit)
• Completed SAICA articles
• Completed CIA certification

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum 3/4 year’s Internal Auditing experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Knowledge of CAATs
• External audit firm experience would be advantageous.
