Internal Auditor

SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Internal Auditor for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Matric + Accounting / Finance diploma or equivalent
• Advanced computer skills – MS Office / Accounting software
• CIA Certificate (or working towards obtaining)
• 3+ years commercial experience with minimum of 2 years auditing experience
• Be willing to travel and have valid driver’s license
• Due to their Equity Plan, an equity candidate is ideally sought

• Performance risk assessments; research and assess how well processes are working
• Identify loopholes and recommend aversion measures and cost savings
• Plan internal audits and travel to various sites to meet with relevant stakeholders
• Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc
• Assess audit control environment
• Write reports on findings after conducting internal audits
• Undertake unplanned audits as required
• Follow up on corrective actions and request feedback
• Conduct follow up audits to monitor managements interventions
• Provide feedback to management
• Involved in stock counts to ensure they are being conducted properly
• Provide guidance and training when required
