Internal Auditor

POSITION INFO:

Company Description

An international company leading in global digital currency company. The company operates across Africa, Southeast Asia, US, and Europe. Our products and services make it safe and easy for people and businesses to store, buy, use, and learn about digital currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

The company’s mission is to ensure a better financial system for Earth. As an Internal you will be responsible for providing robust and independent assurance to the company’s risk management, controls, and governance. You will assist the Internal Audit Lead with the delivery of a risk-based audit plan which will apply globally. You will have to run end-to-end audit assignments in line with relevant prescribed policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Education:

• A tertiary honours degree (or equivalent) in Internal Audit
• Working towards obtaining Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification.

 Job Experience and Skills Required:

• 2-4 years’ work experience within Internal Audit space
• Knowledge of AML (beneficial to application)
• Experience in ISO27001 control audits (beneficial to application)
• Experience in SOC compliance (beneficial to application)
• A work permit for South Africa if you are not a South African citizen.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the bi-annual risk-based Internal Audit Plan.
• Responsible for the delivery of audit projects including:
• Planning audits in line with the applicable standards (IIA)
• Identification of risk and mitigation thereof
• Development and execution of test procedures to verify the design and operational effectiveness of controls
• Preparation of quality working papers that meet the required quality standards
• Prepare draft findings and reports of your audit work.
• Ability to perform all stages of an audit project in line with applicable standards.
