Duties:

Conduct Internal Audit reviews (including General Computer Control reviews) to ensure compliance with Canadian Instrument NI52-109
Efficiency: Completion of audit work within contracted timelines as per certification requirements
Quality: Adherence to IA methodology and standards as well as specific NI52-109 requirements
Evidence that IA work leads to business level policy and process improvements (not just detailed control remediation actions)
Quality Report: highlighting key deficiencies and recommendations to enhance control environment
Evidenced in working papers; process flows, process descriptions, policy & procedures and recommendations
Achieved within deadline and specified quality
Maintain Key Stakeholder Relationships - Regular Meetings (Management, External Audit)
Effectiveness & Efficiency: Appropriate and relevant technical and/or soft skill development through the identification and attendances of relevant training courses
Effectiveness and Efficiency: To be decided by Head of Department

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade12)
BCom Honours in internal audit
CIA or studying towards CIA

Experience:

Qualified Internal Auditor or Completed Professional Internal Auditor Training including articles
Extensive experience in IT auditing
IT auditing knowledge
SOX knowledge would be advantageous
2 to 4 years internal audit experience

Skills & Competencies:

High ethical standards.
Objectivity and sound judgment
Ability to think analytically, independently and creatively and take initiative if required
Ability to work effectively on their own and with others at all levels of the organization
Good communication skills in person and in writing
Good organizational skills
Must have the ability to adapt to change
