SUMMARY:
Our client in the Bulk Materials Handing Equipment industry is seeking Internal Sales Assistant to join them in Randburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate will have a formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering with at least 1-2 years experience in similar position.
As a projects Internal Sales Assistant, you'll use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on turnkey projects for materials handling systems to technical and non-technical decision makers. Your main objective is to provide the necessary assistance to the Sales Engineers in preparing the critical and non-critical spares lists for all existing and prospected projects of the company

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Internal Sales Assistant (Projects)
Geographical area: Randburg, Gauteng
Salary range: R 15 000.00 Basic + Commission

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Sales of products and/or services that best satisfies customer needs in terms of project scope, quality, price and delivery deadlines.
Assist with negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both the customer and company needs.
Assist the Sales Engineers in hosting technical presentations and demonstrate how the company product / projects and process meets the customer needs.
Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical colleagues to prepare detailed spares lists for all the existing prospected projects.
Preparing costing models and mini procurement sheets for all the critical and non-critical spares for existing and prospected projects.
Assist in preparing the PFD’s and P&ID’s of the projects where necessary.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

A recognised Engineering Qualification. A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
Previous involvement with materials handling equipment, valves and instrumentations will be an added advantage.
At least 1-2 years’ experience in similar position.
