POSITION INFO:
We are looking for an experienced Internal Sales Consultant to join a dynamic short-term insurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, preparing and presenting quotations, ensuring compliance with FAIS requirements, maintaining strong client and insurer relationships, and achieving monthly sales targets. Minimum Requirements 3-5 years'' experience in an Internal Sales, Personal Lines, or Commercial Sales role within the short-term insurance industry. Relevant insurance qualification. RE5 qualification. Class of Business completed. Sound knowledge of FAIS legislation and compliance requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities Generate new business through referrals, leads and existing client relationships. Obtain, compare and present quotations from multiple insurers. Provide clients with suitable insurance solutions based on their needs. Ensure all FAIS and compliance requirements are met before policy inception. Prepare, submit and maintain accurate new business documentation and client records. Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and resolve underwriting queries. Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into sales. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders. Ensure accurate policy issuance and efficient service delivery. Meet monthly sales targets and maintain accurate sales reporting.
