We are seeking a results-driven Internal Sales Consultant to join our client’s high-performing team in Alberton. This role is ideal for someone with strong ICT, telecoms, and office automation experience, who excels in both managing client relationships and proactively generating new business. You will be responsible for growing a portfolio of customers, uncovering new sales opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Looking after Customer Portfolio
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify areas for expansion or improvement.
- Respond to customer queries promptly and resolve any service-related issues efficiently.
- Monitor buying patterns and proactively recommend new products or services.
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, inbound leads, and upselling/cross-selling to existing accounts.
- Build a pipeline of qualified prospects by researching the market and understanding client needs.
- Conduct product-based conversations with potential customers to present suitable solutions and close sales.
- Achieve and exceed monthly new business sales targets.
Sales Process Management
- Prepare and send professional quotations, proposals, and order forms.
- Track and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
- Update and maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including call notes, deal progress, and client feedback.
- Provide timely reports on pipeline, conversions, and sales performance.
Product Knowledge & Customer Engagement
- Maintain a strong understanding of Konica Minolta and related ICT/office automation solutions.
- Stay up to date with new product launches, updates, and industry trends.
- Confidently articulate value propositions based on customer needs.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of internal sales experience in ICT, telecoms, and office automation.
- Proven ability to both manage customer portfolios and win new business from within the office environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Konica Minolta product experience highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and achieve sales targets.
