International Biological Specialist

SUMMARY:
A leading agrochemical manufacturer is seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate to grow and develop the biological product range internationally and to identify strategic distribution avenues to market.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have minimum a B.Agric or a B.Sc Agric degree, ideally in Microbiology or Pathology
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in the agricultural field is a prerequisite, with particular reference to biological products
• Sound knowledge of the international market will be ideal
• Must be computer literate MS Office and knowledge of .NET would be advantageous
• Must be prepared to travel into Africa and other international countries for periods at a time
• A valid driver’s license and own reliable transport are essential

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Undertaking the necessary registration trials in various countries regarding the Biological product range.
• Evaluating and communicating trial results to the International Registration Specialist, relevant Area Manager and International Executive.
• Assisting in drafting promotional material and presentations for the relevant product range.
• Ensuring a solid technical understanding of the products, including soil science knowledge, to assist farmers technically on the farm.
• Understanding the requirements of the farmer and how and where the Biological product range will fit into the farming practice.
• Attending farmers’ days and promoting the Biological product range.
• Undertaking demonstration trials on farm and training clients on the Biological product range.
• Evaluating competitor products in the various markets to position the product range strategically.
• Ensuring conformance to relevant SHEQ rules and regulations as per company policy.
• Participating and assisting in maintaining SHEQ Management Systems certificates/standards.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
