Inventory Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for an Inventory Accountant to be based in the Burgersfort, Limpopo area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12(NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
• 3 year degree/diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain is essential
• Computer literacy (MS Office packages) and SAP is essential
• Certificate in inventory management will be advantageous
• 4 – 6 years’ working experience in stores & warehousing, purchasing management, and inventory management is essential
• Experience with warehousing best practices, safety and quality standards will an added advantage
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Cost/Operations/Management accounting is an advantage
• Valid Medical Certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate
• Knowledge of Material Resource Planning
• Knowledge of Cyclic and Annual Stock count procedures
• Forecasting skills

KPAs:

• Ensure that the Company''s inventory policies and procedures are being adhered to
• Ensure that inventory level is financially feasible and viable for both in-house customers and the company
• Effectively meet customers'' needs by accurately forecasting stock demand (Focus on time frameworks)
• Ensure effective financial and operational reporting
• Analyse inventory master data
• Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers
