Inventory Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Inventory Controller to ensure that stock levels meet their business needs, by overseeing purchases and pricing reports, replenishing levels when necessary, and monitoring shipments.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric essential.
• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or relevant field.
• 5 years inventory / stock controller experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years working with data management systems such as Syspro.
• Proven track record with Inventory data maintenance and record-keeping.

• Accuracy.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to coordinate and work cohesively with others.

• Consolidate monthly and annual stock related reconciliations.
• Ensure that audit requirements are adhered to (other than the stock counts).
• Prepared cost of sales reports, source data and documents for the auditors.
• Monitor all sales reviews and create relevant recons for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the IT department to track sales.

• Manage stock takes in collaboration with the operations Team.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to the relevant Senior Manager.
• Investigate irregular results and escalate findings.

• Reconcile negative stock.
• Made stock adjustments.
• Perform stock cost changes.

• Damages.
• Samples.
• Obsolete write offs.
• Link missing barcodes to item codes.
• Add missing item codes to relevant warehouse.

• Follow up on misdirected shipments.
• Follow up on short shipments.
• Add Supply Chain Transfer's to Goods in Transit.

• Confirm purchase orders receipts.
• Create and receipt on SCT/ITB.
• Perform month end module recons – Accounts Receivable, I/N, Work in Progress.
• Handle sales imports – South Africa and SADC.
