SUMMARY: Our client, an internationally recognised FMCG company, situated in the Western Cape is looking for a skilled Inventory Planner with all round skills for a varied, exciting position.
POSITION INFO: Requirements: Minimum purchasing / supply chain diploma or related At least 3 years of buying experience in the FMCG sector Syspro or similar as well as strong Excel report building and reviewing skills. Excellent analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills. Desired knowledge: Purchasing of imported and local raw materials, packaging and non-stocked items. Reviewing forecast, purchase requirements and order schedules per manufacturing site. Signing off supplier order confirmations on order quantity, pricing Maintaining adequate inventory levels nationally Building and reviewing inventory reports and expediting open orders Tracking of orders to delivery timeline and status reports review. Liaison with Clients/Suppliers, nominated clearing and forwarding agents. Building strong and professional supplier and service provider relationships. Interface with suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery and any other related queries.
