Investment Analyst

SUMMARY:
A prestigious investment management company in Johannesburg is currently seeking an Investment Analyst to join their team. You will be responsible for analysing the investment merits and risks of investment funds from a universe of domestic and global investment funds.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Conducting a more detail due diligence on a range of shortlisted funds
• Performing qualitative and qualitative due as well as investment analysis
• Preparing investment reports on existing and shortlisted funds
• Enhance the process for selecting funds to be recommended to clients / the investment committee on an ongoing basis
• Review asset class / industry trends and write topical research articles highlighting dynamics in the market

• Degree with strong quantitative exposure or similar
• Postgraduate would be advantageous
• Basic quantitative and qualitative understanding of the Investment management business and performance measurement
• At least 2 years of investment / financial industry experience
• An analytical thinker with problem solving abilities
• A keen eye for detail
• Advanced Excel skills
