SUMMARY:
Our client in the Eastern Cape is looking for an Investment Analyst for a 6 Months Project
POSITION INFO:
PC Literacy is essential and use and knowledge of Excel is important as this role often involve financial modelling and projection work
Investment analyst will be expected to use research tools, i.e. Bureau of Economic Research, Bond Exchange for pricing and other relevant financial information platforms
Understanding of mandate and investment guidelines
Should possess good analytical and modelling skills and be able to apply financial modelling methodologies
Can quickly identify important issues and help the team to consider them
A strong team contributor and can clarify problems in discussion and issue planning
The ability to research, analyse and evaluate
Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Strong numerical ability and quantitative skills
Self-confidence, drive and tenacity
The ability to work effectively in a team
Initiative, flexibility and innovation
An interest in current affairs and an appreciation of their impact on the market especially BEE legislative discussion
In depth investment knowledge, this may come from an interest in the markets and entrepreneur development
Deal structuring and implementation;Financial modelling and Understanding of Business valuation methodologies
Essential Qualifications
B.Com Degree with Specialization in Accounting and/or Business Finance
Preferred Qualifiacations
CA qualification or an MBA will be added advantage
Post Graduate Degree with finance and agriculture and transactional background
