Location: Sandton
Type: Permanent | Hybrid
Salary: R720 000 – R840 000 per annum (excluding 13th cheque, subject to individual and company performance)

This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, offering exposure to investment systems, data integration, and client onboarding within a fintech environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in integrating external trading platform data into an investment accounting ecosystem.
This opportunity is best suited to individuals who are comfortable working in a smaller organisation and who value hands-on involvement over structured corporate progression.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret trading platform data feeds and file structures from multiple providers
• Configure and maintain data transformation rules within a proprietary data integration platform to convert raw data into investment accounting transactions
• Perform and evaluate automated reconciliations across holdings, market values, book values, and cash balances
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies through iterative refinement of transformation logic
• Process and interpret corporate actions, including pricing impacts, historical book value adjustments, and CGT implications
• Collaborate with internal development teams to enhance data ingestion processes and resolve system or data quality issues
• Engage with external product providers and clients to understand data conventions and address integration challenges
• Support client onboarding processes, including training on system functionality
• Utilise Microsoft technologies (Excel, SQL Server, Power BI, .NET-based applications) for data analysis, validation, and reporting
• Contribute to building and scaling a data onboarding capability, including future team leadership

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
• Strong understanding of fund accounting and/or investment accounting
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and reconcile complex financial datasets
• Comfortable working with structured data, file formats, and reconciliation processes
• Proven interest in technology-enabled financial systems
• Experience with, or willingness to work with, Microsoft technologies (Excel, SQL Server, Power BI, .NET)
• Strong communication skills across both technical and client-facing environments
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build processes and contribute to team development
• Mandatory experience or exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Early-career CA(SA) seeking transition into fintech or data-driven investment environments
• Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capability
