Irradiation Plant Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is urgently seeking a strong analytical and problem-solving Irradiation Plant Manager for their Gauteng branch. The successful candidate must at least have 5 years management experience in Pharmaceutical or related industry and will manage the Irradiation Plant. The successful candidate must meet sales targets while meeting safety and quality specifications, acceptable levels of custome

POSITION INFO:

Duties and responsibilities:

• Drawing up of annual budgets and ensure that the budgets are met.
• Production management to meet customer needs and requirements.
• Ensure quality controls are embedded within production processes.
• Customer liaison to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring that the plant is maintained to minimise down time.
• Problem solving to establish and correct causes of down time.
• Understand regulatory requirements and execute implementation within areas of responsibility.
• Interpret and translate regulatory inputs into policies and procedures.
• Ensure self-inspections as required and external audits are conducted regularly.
• Ensure application and compliance with good manufacturing practices in terms of DoH, ISO and SHE requirements.
• Manage the performance of all controllers through a formal performance management system.
• Build and lead an effective and cohesive team.

Minimum requirements:

• Preferably a BSc Science degree or equivalent.
• Management Development Programme or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience Pharmaceutical or related industry.
