JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking to employ a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12/ equivalent
Completed BCom (Accounting) degree or similar would be an advantage

Experience and Requirements:

At least 3 – 5 years working experience as an Accountant
Proficient on MS Excel including spreadsheets and formulas
Management experience as you will be required to supervise over 3 staff members in the Accounts Department
A stable work record and contactable references
Reside close to Roodepoort
Reliable transport
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
A clear ITC and Criminal record
Preferably a non-smoker

Duties and responsibilities:

Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
Responsible for assistance with the full accounting function Bank & General Ledger reconciliation
Processing and reconciliation of creditors
Processing of month end journals
Assist with VAT and PAYE calculation and submissions
Processing and reconciliation of cashbooks
Prepare and process journals for inter-company loan accounts
Balance inter-company loan accounts
Maintain fixed asset register
Assist in the managing of the external audit
Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
General administrative task
