Your Role on Our Blueprint:
• Estimation Apprentice: Channel your construction experience into estimating project costs accurately. You will work closely with our senior estimators to master the art of assessing materials, labour, and time requirements.
• Precision Engineer: Attention to detail is your superpower. You will break down construction plans into measurable components, crafting estimates that leave no margin for error.
• Industry Alchemist: Your background in construction provides the foundation for understanding project requirements, allowing you to transform them into numbers that make sense.
• Collaboration Conductor: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure estimates align with project scope and objectives. Your clear communication skills will be key to harmonizing these efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and related documents to derive accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather input and insights to refine estimates.
• Utilize construction industry software and tools to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
• Assist in preparing and submitting comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and labour costs to ensure accurate estimations.
• Support senior estimators in reviewing and refining processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A qualified individual with a formal qualification in either Building Science, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar field
- Minimum of 5 years'''' experience in construction and civil estimating.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
- A strong understanding of alternative building solutions would be advantageous
