Java Developer

SUMMARY:
Java Developer To analyse, design, develop and support integration and business applications in pursuance of Business objectives and Service availability.

POSITION INFO:

Key Performance Areas:

• To ensure adherence to defined existing processes and procedures governing the development of systems. This includes project management, Change management and Architecture policies and guidelines.
• To perform in-depth analysis of proposals and System problems.
• To provide solutions based on the outcomes of the analysis and interactions with other Business and IT role players.
• To produce detailed Solution designs emanating from defined requirements and analysis.
• To develop high quality and reusable Software, Components and Systems.
• To deploy and support developed Software solutions.
• To enhance existing components and systems.
• To mentor and coach junior developers.

Qualifications, experience, knowledge, technical skills & competencies:

• Degree/ Diploma in BSc/B. Com Computer Science/Information Technology is essential.
• At least 3 years technical aptitude of banking systems and applications use is desirable.
• At least 6 years of Java language development experience within a full SDLC lifecycle is essential.
• At least 3 years’ experience integrating components/systems built with either J2EE or .NET technologies. This includes experience in developing SOAP Web Services and JSON Rest APIs used for integration.
• At least 2 years’ experience using popular frameworks like Spring Framework, Hibernate, CXF and OSGI.
• At least 2 years’ experience using use of SOA, middleware technologies like Apache Service mix and Active MQ or similar.
• At least 5 years knowledge of relational database management systems like Oracle and MS SQL server.
