POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for a Java Developer to design , develop, maintain and support a variety of Enterprise Java based systems for our Financial Services client.

Work in a team that strives to transform the financial services industry by delivering a world class engaging web experience to support our clients and advisers. You will see and experience the results of your hard work as our agile methodology allows us to implement and improve constantly and iteratively.

You will partner with key roles (e.g. enterprise architects, business analysts, UI specialists, etc.) to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to the enterprise architecture and business strategy and leverage common solutions and services, to meet key project goals.

Qualifications Skills required:

• IT degree or equivalent diploma
• At least 3 - 5 year''s development experience working on an enterprise technology stack
• Knowledge of the SDLC, and best practices for continuous delivery
• Experience working with agile teams
• Solid experience with Java
• Experience with web services and integration
• Be proficient with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins
• Advantageous to have
• Advanced JavaScript skills and experience with NodeJS
• Experience with Nginx as a web server and API gateway
• Experience with Ansible for DevOps configuration management
• Understanding of Micro-services architecture
• Java and JEE design and development experience
• Object orientated analysis, design and pattern experience
• Insurance/Financial background an advantage
• Experience in implementing complex business solutions on a technically difficult enterprise environment
• Web, HTML, JSF, Servlets, Angular and Javascript/Typescript
• EJB, REST, SOAP, JPA, Gradle, Linux an advantage
• Websphere application server, or Lightweight application servers an advantage
