A leading technology consultancy is seeking an experienced JavaScript Team Lead to join its growing software engineering division. This position combines hands-on technical delivery with team leadership, offering the opportunity to shape development practices, mentor engineers, and drive successful project outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver modern web and mobile applications while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in solution design, technical leadership, people development, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of enterprise web and mobile application projects. Participate in architecture, design, scoping, estimation, and solution planning activities. Drive software engineering best practices and technical excellence across the team. Support DevOps initiatives, containerisation, and continuous integration processes. Research and implement emerging technologies that enhance business outcomes. Mentor, coach, and develop developers within the team. Conduct regular performance discussions, feedback sessions, and development planning. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Manage customer expectations and identify opportunities to improve service delivery. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and software quality standards. Job Experience and Skills Required Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience within enterprise environments. Experience leading development teams and delivering complex software solutions. Proven experience mentoring and coaching developers. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful products. Strong customer-facing and stakeholder engagement experience. Exposure to Agile software delivery environments. JavaScript development. Angular, React, and Vue.js. Express and NextJS frameworks. Front-end architecture and modern web development practices. NPM package management. Webpack, Grunt, and Gulp build tools. API integration and web services. Software design patterns and architecture principles. Source control and software engineering best practices. Exposure to .NET, Java, or Python environments. DevOps, containerisation, and CI\/CD practices. Cloud platform experience. Experience working across multiple technologies and business domains. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
