JavaScript Engineer

SUMMARY:
Leading Software Development house are on the hunt for a middleweight JavaScript Engineer

POSITION INFO:

• Understanding the requirements
• Coding, testing and debugging
• Identifying production and non-production application issues
• Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient elegant code
• Ensuring designs are following specifications
• Raising concerns with design and identifying areas of improvement in the software delivery process
• Learning from those in your team while sharing your knowledge
• Staying on top of your game by knowing all the latest developments from a coding, methodology and approach perspective  
• Preparing and releasing into production
• Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

• Current proficiency in JavaScript with +-3 years solid exposure at an academic or professional level
• Dedication to getting the job done no matter the obstacles
• A full stack developer is a definite plus in this role, but not always essential
• Experience in: (relative to seniority)
  • JavaScript (Angular, React, Vue)
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Back-end service integration typically – REST Web Services: Node.js, Java, .Net, Go and Java EE
  • Jira and Git
  • Testing frameworks
  • Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes experience beneficial

• AWS experience and or certification beneficial
  • Ability to read and identify issues in back-end code in languages such as Node.js, Java, .Net, Go and Java EE
