A really cool tech company in Edinburgh City Centre is looking for a Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer for their team. The company work on unique, ground-breaking products across varied industries such as history, literature, science, education, music and more. They pride themselves on bringing data to life, meaning that data is at the forefront of everything that they do. The way that they transform complex ideas into engaging and visually appealing products really is awesome!
Like everything else with the company, their office is really impressive and is based close to Waverley station, making the offices really accessible by tram and bus (for when the world is back up and running of course!)
They''re looking for strong skills React and TypeScript skills. Once onboard, you''ll have the opportunity to work with ES6, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, PostgreSQL and GraphQL, WebGL and GLSL.
Of course, someone with the experience of that full tech stack would be nice, but they are happy to welcome Engineers from different technical backgrounds as long as you''re passionate to learn new things. They aren''t too fussy about a specific career path either - an Engineer with some of the tech stack and broad interests will do well here!
Looking past the technical side of the role, you should be used to having high levels of autonomy and accountability - and they love people that aren''t afraid to put their own ideas forward. If you are a Senior Engineer then you should have experience or be capable of mentoring other team members.
The salary on offer for the role is up to £75,000 depending on experience. They are fully set up to work remotely but would expect most of the work to be done in the office once everything is back to normal - and why wouldn''t you want to work in really cool offices, with the latest kit (Macbooks, 4K screens etc), around a really friendly team?!
