POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:

Degree in Accounting.
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles, strong pref.
Minimum 1 to 2 years’ work experience in the Accounting space.
Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Proficient in these accounting packages - Caseware, Xero, Pastel, Sage One Accounting; Sage Payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Process cashbooks, journal entries and reconciliation.
Process payroll, a basic understanding of SA legislation and capture/submit EMP201 returns.
Customer and supplier processing and reconciliation.
UIF filing and ROE filing with the Department of Labour.
Process VAT.
Basic understanding of SA Legislation.
Prepare management accounts, including analytical review and demonstration of problem-solving skills.
Maintain a fixed asset register, with firm knowledge on disposals, additions, depreciation calculations and corresponding journals entries and tax treatment thereof.
Prepare year-end Annual Financial Statement file.
