Junior Accountant - Stanger

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process journals into Sage Evolution and/or Buildsmart (e.g. payroll, depreciation, and asset acquisitions).
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and Instalment Sale Register.
• Manage supplier accounts: follow up on invoices, apply discounts, assist with processing.
• Process daily bank transactions and prepare daily cash reconciliations.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation.
• Support with monthly SARS submissions (VAT, EMP, Income Tax).
• Complete supplier application and compliance documentation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance (advantageous).
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior experience in the construction / civils industry beneficial.
• Knowledge of Sage Evolution or Buildsmart advantageous.
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals.
• Highly organized, neat, accurate, and punctual.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a small team environment.
• Must have own reliable transport (due to office location).
