Accountant | Sommerset West

The ideal candidate is hands-on, independent, and excited to work in a dynamic, client-focused business. You will take ownership of the accounting lifecycle and thrive in a business-oriented environment that blends financial accuracy with operational speed. You should be comfortable using cloud-based systems and adapting to the evolving needs of a growing automotive supply chain.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following:
BCom Degree in Accounting or related field (REQUIRED)
1-2 years minimum relevant working experience in an accounting environment
Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems
Working knowledge of basic supply chain processes including inventory, purchasing, and cost tracking
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently
Additional accounting qualifications (e.g., SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA) will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
Your main duties will include:
Handle the full accounting function for the business unit.
Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end procedures.
Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
Compilation of Annual Financial Statements.
Prepare and submit management accounts and internal financial reports.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Liaise with clients and key partners.
Work closely with the Head of Finance to support the division''s growth
