Junior Accountant – Kickstart Your Finance Career

POSITION INFO:
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to grow your career in accounting? A dynamic organisation is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture and process supplier invoices and credit notes
Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and petty cash
Assist with payment runs and remittance advice
Follow up on outstanding customer accounts
Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reports
Prepare reconciliations and support audit preparation
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Provide administrative and ad-hoc support to the finance team

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting or finance experience (internships included)
Basic understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables advantageous)
Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is beneficial
