Junior Accountant

POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description An exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Accountant to join a growing organisation within the property sector. This role is ideally suited to a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where accuracy, analytical thinking, and strong organisational skills are essential to success. Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes Monitor and analyse property-related income and expenditure Support building and property financial administration activities Process journals, accruals, and financial adjustments Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and queries Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation Maintain accurate records and reporting schedules Provide ad hoc accounting support to management and operational teams Oversee maintenance activities across the property portfolio Coordinate contractors, service providers, and maintenance suppliers Manage maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of property-related issues Monitor maintenance expenditure and assist with cost control initiatives Track maintenance projects and ensure work is completed according to agreed standards and timelines Liaise with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders regarding maintenance and operational matters Support the overall financial and operational management of buildings within the portfolio Qualifications & Skills: BCom Accounting Minimum 2 years' accounting experience required Property industry experience advantageous Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Exposure to building or property management environments beneficial Excel skills required Excellent organisational and time management skills If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
