POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description Our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in Ormonde, Johannesburg South , is looking for a driven Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers excellent exposure across the full accounting cycle, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their commercial finance experience while working alongside experienced finance professionals. You will be involved in the complete finance function, assisting with month-end processes, reconciliations, financial reporting and supporting the wider finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities Perform the full accounting function. Prepare and process journal entries. Balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end reporting. Prepare VAT and statutory reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset registers. Perform bank and cashbook reconciliations. Assist with budgeting and financial reporting. Support external auditors during audit processes. Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls. Job Experience and Skills Required Education: BCom Accounting (Completed or currently studying towards completion). Job Experience & Skills Required: Approximately 3 years' commercial accounting experience . Articles are advantageous but not required . Experience performing the full finance function . Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Non-negotiable). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
