JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Full function of accounting records on General Ledger to year-end trial balance. This includes year-end adjustments, depreciation etc.
Ensuring that the trial balance is up to date
Create Annual Financial Statements
General, supplier and customer ledgers and bank reconciliations
Contribute to the management of a portfolio of clients in respect of accounting and consultation work
Preparation of management accounts
Processing of data
Client liaison
General administration
Assist with income tax returns (data collation and input under guidance from the team), VAT and basic tax returns (company/individual/trust)
Payroll
Grow into looking after your own client base (under guidance from the team)
Perform all other general accounting functions

Essential requirements:

Degree, Diploma or Bookkeeping qualification and Matric with very good marks in Mathematics and Accounting
Pastel and/ or Xero experience in a professional accounting environment
Strong work ethic and integrity
Good Excel and MS Word skills
Great written and oral communication skills
Accurate and detail focused
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Must reside in the Southern Suburbs
