R20 000 – R25 000 Per Month Negotiable based on Qualification and Years of Experience

Our client is looking for a highly motivated accountant and tax professional interested in building their skills in accounting and taxation.

One would describe you as being a self-motivated, organised, entrepreneurial, innovative, flexible and dependable individual who has solid communication skills and a good understanding of accounting processes and accounting systems.

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant Accounting Degree and newly qualified - SAIPA/ SAIT/ ACCA/ CIMA/ SAIBA
• 3 -5 Accounting experience gained within an Accounting and Taxation industry (preferably)
• Caseware experience
• Client and solution focused.
• Sound numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Strong Pastel and/ or Xero experience in a professional accounting environment.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.
• Driver’s licence and own vehicle

Key Performance Areas:

• Monthly/ annual accounts processing on Xero (limited Pastel usage)
• Preparing advanced tax computations for companies and completing the company tax returns
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for trusts.
• Preparing and overseeing advanced tax returns for individual clients.
• Preparation of final trial balance and effecting year-end adjustments.
• Review of general ledger and trial balance for completeness and accuracy, final adjustments for financial statement compilations.
• Assisting with projects.
• Assisting with reviews and audits of clients.
• Valued added client liaison with responsibility for their portfolios
• Planning and execution of work for the year to meet deadlines comfortably.
• Working closely with all role-players in the firm.
• Client meetings and actioning desired outcomes
