Junior Accountant (Accounting/ Audit Advisory/Taxation) – Southern Suburbs

Start immediately!

R20 000 – R25 000 Per Month Negotiable based on Qualification and Years of Experience

Our client is looking for a highly motivated accountant and tax professional interested in building their skills in accounting and taxation.

One would describe you as being a self-motivated, organised, entrepreneurial, innovative, flexible and dependable individual who has solid communication skills and a good understanding of accounting processes and accounting systems.

Minimum requirements:

Relevant Accounting Degree and newly qualified - SAIPA/ SAIT/ ACCA/ CIMA/ SAIBA
3 -5 Accounting experience gained within an Accounting and Taxation industry (preferably)
Caseware experience
Client and solution focused.
Sound numeracy skills and attention to detail
Strong Pastel and/ or Xero experience in a professional accounting environment.
Strong Excel and Word skills.
Driver’s licence and own vehicle

Key Performance Areas:

Monthly/ annual accounts processing on Xero (limited Pastel usage)
Preparing advanced tax computations for companies and completing the company tax returns
Preparing financial statements and tax returns for trusts.
Preparing and overseeing advanced tax returns for individual clients.
Preparation of final trial balance and effecting year-end adjustments.
Review of general ledger and trial balance for completeness and accuracy, final adjustments for financial statement compilations.
Assisting with projects.
Assisting with reviews and audits of clients.
Valued added client liaison with responsibility for their portfolios
Planning and execution of work for the year to meet deadlines comfortably.
Working closely with all role-players in the firm.
Client meetings and actioning desired outcomes
