POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Bellville – Onsite position

Start date: As soon as possible.

Objective:

Support the organization''''s strategic accounting objectives

Provide accurate accounting preparation, input control, analysis, and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounting transactions and general accounting tasks

Manage financial documentation, including:
Bank statements
Supplier invoices
Salary journals
Accrual journals
Company payments and transfers
Verify creditor information and payment details
Perform weekly tasks, including:
Bank reconciliations
Commission and allowance processing
Expense and cost claims
Marketing stock cost control allocation
Prepare and distribute monthly statements
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Process monthly invoices and journals (depreciation, inter-company billing, etc.)
Manage accounts mailbox and respond to queries
Maintain fixed asset register and ensure statutory compliance
Prepare and submit tax returns (PAYE, VAT, etc.)
Assist with external audit process

Requirements:

Relevant accounting qualification (degree or diploma)

3+ years of experience in a similar role
Advanced Pastel and Excel skills
Attention to detail and financial acumen
Strong communication skills
Ability to work from the office
