Operating within an agile, international group environment, you will take direct ownership of general ledger processing up to balance sheet, bank and accounts reconciliations, multi-entity accounts payable\/receivable, and continuous process optimization. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger & Balance Sheet Governance: Execute full-cycle bookkeeping entries up to balance sheet level, ensuring accuracy across multi-entity financial ledgers. Transaction Processing & Reconciliations: Reconcile high-volume multi-currency banking accounts, credit cards, supplier ledgers, and debtor balances while resolving line-item variances timeously. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Support group month-end close schedules, compile trial balance reconciliations, and assist with ad hoc management reporting packs. Accounts Payable & Receivable Administration: Oversee end-to-end accounts payable disbursements and debtor collection tracking across international operating entities. Process Optimization & Systems Management: Collaborate with senior finance leadership to refine internal financial controls, automate workflow efficiencies, and maintain audit-ready digital archives. Job Experience and Skills Required: Formal Education (Non-Negotiable): A completed BCom Degree in Accounting or Financial Management is essential. Experience Track Record: 1 to 3 years of solid, reference-backed commercial accounting experience. Location & Work Model: Must be Gauteng-based and fully comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Systems & Digital Competencies: Solid working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting software (such as Sage , Pastel , Xero , or QuickBooks ). Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Specialized Industry Exposure (Advantageous): Prior accounting experience within Travel & Tourism, Destination Management (DMC), Hospitality, or Property sectors, paired with multi-entity or multi-currency exposure, is highly beneficial.
