JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established specialist entertainment law firm in Cape Town, is looking for a Junior Attorney.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description – the areas of law they work in are:

Primarily Entertainment Law – the majority of their work relates to film and television production, which involves specialist commercial knowledge and IP/copyright knowledge in relation to the entertainment industry.
Commercial
Litigation

Requirements:

LLB Degree obtained through a reputable institution.
Admitted attorney with right of appearance.
3-5 years post article experience – should have experience in:

Commercial Law – very strong knowledge of drafting and reviewing commercial agreements.
Litigation – experience running both high court and magistrate court proceedings.
Intellectual Property – knowledge of IP law and copyright advantageous.
Experience in litigation, commercial law, and legal admin.
Own client base is highly beneficial.
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confident, self-driven, and motivated (they work in a relaxed environment and allow for flexibility. Someone who is self-motivated and can use their own initiative.
English speaking.
Own transport and driver’s license.
