JOB SUMMARY:
Junior Audit Manager (Durban)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quality control of audit files under Senior Manager’s portfolio’s and oversee tax compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

vAttend to client and clerk audit planning meetings for high-risk engagements.

vReview and the finalisation of audit files.

vQuality control of audit and review engagements.

vAttending final AFS meetings.

vCompletion/Review of FSB and EAAB audits and submission of the AFS to the FSB and EAAB, on their specific site.

vPerforming special assignments as and when required.

vReview and completion of all forms of tax returns (ITR14s, IT14SDs, ITR12Ts, IT14s, ITR12s).

vSARS Audits and providing documents that are to be submitted to SARS for their verification.

vPreparing Provisionals for Managers approval.

vTax objections and tax queries.

vWeekly review and approval of Audit Supervisors time sheets.

vSupervision of Audit Supervisors.

vLiaising with clients.

vAdvanced research for client matters.

vDealing and assisting with the more technical issues with Audit Supervisors and clients.

Technical Ability:

vIFRS (International financial reporting standards).

vIFRS for SME''s (International financial reporting standards for small and medium enterprises).

vCompanies Act.

vInternational Standards of Auditing.

vAuditing Profession’s Act.

vIncome Tax Act.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (General):

vExcellent communication skills.

vTeam player, Self-motivated & Leadership.

vAbility to cope under pressure and achieve deadlines.

Qualifications:

vECA (SA) designation.

v1-3 years post article experience - medium sized firm.

vStrong external auditing and taxation experience.
