Job Position: Junior Bookkeeper (with disability)

Location: Johannesburg (Sandton)

Salary: R12 750 per month CTC commensurate with experience and qualification including medical aid

Qualifications / Requirements:

• To start as soon as possible
• Candidate with disability will have preference - please provide proof of disability if applicable
• Minimum of Matric
• PC literacy:

- MS Office Suite

- Advanced Excel

- Pastel

• Will be required to work extra hours where necessary
• Financial aptitude / accounting principles knowledge (laws, regulations, statutes as well as payment processes)
• Experience in capturing and reconciling financial records to trial balance

Key Performance Areas:

• Accounting function (capturing) up to trial balance and monthly management accounts
• Partial creditors function:

- Ensure all relevant reconciliations have been completed and signed off

- Ensure all creditors are paid on time

- Double check all recons from source documents

- Ensure all queries re resolved prior to payment

- Ensure documentation is loaded on required systems

- Reconcile creditors fully for management accounts

- Ensure scheduled payment runs are met

- Prepare payment requisitions

• Various reconciliation:

- Prepare and maintain all reconciliations required by various entities – double checking source documents to ensure submitted recons are 100%

• Filing:

- Ensure all paperwork is filed correctly, in line with compliance requirements set by Auditors

- Ensure all required and compliant paperwork is accounted for

- Ensure backups are run of all soft files on a weekly basis

- Ensure the server is updated
