JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, one of the leading Outdoor Retailors in Pretoria East are urgently looking for a passionate, dynamic and driven Junior Buyer (Must be able to speak Afrikaans and a passion for the outdoors).
This Individual will be involved in the Purchasing of very specific products thus they require exceptional relationship building and negotiation skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Relevant Bachelor's degree (Logistics, Retail/Business)
Clothing, firearm, firearm accessories, camping equipment and Ammunition knowledge and or experience will be an advantage.
1-2 years’ experience will be an advantage.
Must be able to speak/write Afrikaans.
Logical, analytical and numeric orientation.
Strong communication and relationship building skills essential.
Effective Negotiator.
Ability to Multi-task.
Communicate effectively.
Ability to work under pressure.
Presentation skills.
Work effectively as a team member.
Computer literate.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and short delivered stock.
Amend purchase orders for a supplier if the incorrect price is on.
Amend purchase orders for the store if they cannot GRV because of the Invoice Reinstate Cancelled PO'S.
View Report daily and reinstate cancelled PO’s.
Place orders according to the Buyer/Planner.
Assist the Buyer where needed.
Supplier maintenance and liaison.
Loading of Supplier References.
Monitor the references and adjust where needed.
Launch of new Product
Create New Codes – Create new codes according to the Buyer.
Move Previous range codes to Non-Reg – All discontinued range codes must be moved into non-reg as per instruction of the Buyer.
