SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across Sales, Pricing, and Executive Leadership functions. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business acumen to improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen pricing governance, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to overall business performance.

POSITION INFO:
Key Areas of Expertise Data Modelling and Forecasting Business Performance and Margin Analysis Sales Performance Analytics Pricing Maintenance and Governance KPI Development and Performance Tracking Dashboard Development (Excel and Power BI) Process Automation and Optimisation Key Responsibilities Data Management and Analytics Source, consolidate, clean, validate, and manage data from accounting systems, SharePoint, semantic models, and Excel-based sources to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, margin risks, and business performance patterns. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reporting solutions using Excel. Build and maintain data models that support forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring. Automate recurring reports and data processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Develop and monitor KPIs, sales targets, budgets, and performance scorecards aligned with business objectives. Ensure consistency and governance of key metrics across sales and business reporting. Prepare and deliver reports on Sales Division performance. Pricing Management Maintain customer price books for Fuel and Lubricants. Manage monthly pricing updates and ensure pricing accuracy across systems. Work closely with sales teams to investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies and spot price variances. Business Development and Strategic Support Support tender submissions and new business development initiatives. Compile client-facing information and communication materials. Provide analytical support for presentations and business proposals. Deliver data-driven insights that support growth initiatives and margin optimisation strategies. Requirements Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge A degree in a business-related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an office or administrative role within an operationally intensive business environment. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Power BI would be advantageous, but is not essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with a keen attention to detail.
