SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented mechanical drafter to join their growing team. The person will be responsible for producing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and installation manuals for fiberglass and steel products. The role also includes administrative and project support, with a clear path to grow into technical sales and design engineering.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Produce accurate shop drawings for manufacture and assembly drawings for clients, working primarily in SolidWorks Compile clear, easy-to-follow assembly manuals in Adobe Illustrator, turning complex assemblies into simple visual instructions Maintain a high standard of accuracy and neatness across all drawings and documents Assist with quoting, parts ordering, and project costing Support quality control and schedule planning across projects Liaise with the workshop, design, and sales teams to keep drawings aligned with project needs Essential Strong skills in technical drawing and 3D modelling (qualification or equivalent practical experience) Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Solidworks Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Strong attention to detail and a technically minded problem-solving approach Ability to communicate complex information clearly and simply Drivers License and own means of transport Effective communication with cross-functional teams. Desirable Experience with Adobe Illustrator or similar graphic design software Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification Experience producing installation or assembly manuals Interest in growing into technical sales and design engineering
