JOB SUMMARY:
Junior Electrical Product Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the Product Manager : Power Control and Automation.

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

Determine the cause of the problem and propose corrective action if appropriate;
Perform basic engineering evaluations including calculations and testing;
Gain awareness of and familiarity with Global and Regional regulations, standards, and industry guidelines;
Provide support in developing conceptual and strategic solutions to solve problems that are associated with engineering projects or evaluations, both to internal and external customers;
Take responsibility for one''s own learning and development for the mutual benefit of oneself and the organization; and
Participate in vendor interaction and vendor management programs to deliver products and improve product quality.

Minimum Skills required

Grade 12;
Degree in Electrical Engineering, or studying towards a degree in Electrical Engineering;
Minimum 2- 4 years’ experience working within Operations or Engineering environment;
Inventor and AutoCAD experience is beneficial;
Must have MS Office, good report writing and presentation skills; and
Must have valid driver’s licence and own transport.

Must have good communication skills and leadership skills;
Must be a self-starter who takes control and accountability; and
Must be able to work in a team.
