POSITION INFO:

Join a well-established and respected financial services group as a Junior Finance Manager, working across multiple entities and high-impact sectors. You'll be part of a professional, close-knit team that values precision, growth, and long-term development offering the chance to build a strong technical finance foundation in a dynamic environment.

What you will be doing:

You'll be responsible for the internal finance function for two group entities, with a focus on financial control, reporting, and compliance. This role is distinct from the project-facing finance roles and will sit slightly apart due to confidentiality.

Key responsibilities include:

Monthly bookkeeping, management accounts, and payroll processing
Processing of advanced journals and reconciliations
Preparation of budgets, variance analysis, and project expenditure tracking
SARS communication and preparation of tax returns (VAT, Company Tax, etc.)
Assisting with audits, consolidations, and financial reporting
Preparing IFRS for SME-compliant financial statements
Liaising directly with the Group Financial Manager

What we are looking for:

Newly qualified and registered CA(SA)
1-2 years of post-articles accounting experience
Hands-on experience with accounting tools like Xero and Draftworks
Familiarity with SARS processes and correspondence
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organised, reliable, and able to work with a high level of confidentiality
A self-starter who is eager to grow into a senior finance role over time
