Junior Financial Accountant

POSITION INFO:
A leader in the automotive industry is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

• Bank Processing & Treasury:
  • Load and process payments accurately and on time
  • Maintain and reconcile cashbooks
  • Prepare the daily cash flow and process bank interest
  • Load foreign payments and handle treasury tasks
  • Liaise with banks and manage user access (Standard Bank & FNB)
  • Manage funding, sweeping, refunds, and creditor setups
• Fuel Account Management:
  • Apply for and cancel fuel cards
  • Obtain and process fuel statements
• Creditors Management:
  • Prepare creditor reconciliations
  • Load and allocate payments
  • Maintain a clean creditors ageing analysis
• Invoicing & Debtors:
  • Invoice divisions/subsidiaries and manage suspense accounts
  • Allocate received payments and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Maintain debtor ageing analysis
• Asset Capitalisation:
  • Capitalise assets per applicable standards
  • Clear asset suspense accounts promptly
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts

• Completed BCom in Finance

• 1 - 2 years in a similar role
• Attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills
