JOB SUMMARY:
A young dynamic company in the FMCG environment has an opportunity for a Junior Financial Administrator to support their Finance administration team located at the Head Office in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties (Key Areas of Responsibility)

Stock/Inventory Import/Export Administration
Foreign currency processing
Local currency processing
Assist with Stock Management
Inventory Control
Accounting
Creditors control
Maintain suppliers/account data in terms of standard operating procedures
Chase overdue invoices by telephone, emails, or letters within the agreed timeframe
Escalate the overdue balances as per the credit policy
Maintain accurate record of interactions made with creditors (and internal stakeholders)
Regular contact with suppliers to ensure all debts are managed as necessary
Assist with stock takes

Minimum Requirements

Creditors Handling
Post matric accounting diploma/certificate beneficial
Pastel Proficient in the above as well as manufacturing processing
Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
Advanced Excel

Skills and expertise

Must be computer literate, have been exposed to a manufacturing ERP system and experience with Pastel accounting packages.
Excellent communication and good problem-solving skills.
Must have good attention to detail and high level of accuracy and precision
Assertive, confident, and enthusiastic as well as a self-motivator
Ability to show initiative and work under pressure
Be deadline driven
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Attention to detail
Strong number skills
