Junior Financial Analyst

Our client based in London, Boston and Hong-Kong covers over 120 stocks, publishes over 500 reports a year and has 250+ clients who are among the largest global tech investors (the company is 22 year old and one of the top independent research boutiques globally with a unique focus on TMT).

We are looking for a full-time equity research analyst to work in Cape Town supporting the experienced team of tech analysts and partners based in London. The ideal candidate will have a CA or CFA background (newly qualified) with a keen interest in tech, and a willingness to work flexible hours, particularly during busy earnings season. This is a role that includes quarterly financial modelling, writing pre-earnings previews and post-views, running valuation analysis on companies and industries, while also building charts and company forecasts for our client coverage of the biggest semiconductor companies in the world (based in US, Asia, Europe, etc.). There will also be a number of day-to-day tasks including updating industry models, supporting senior analysts with strategic analysis, with an opportunity to grow in responsibilities in time. This is a work-from-home role, but requires significant day-to-day contact with the team in London and LA. The employer will also plan to support the successful candidate towards CFA accreditation levels 1-3.
