SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fund Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have recently completed their SAIPA Articles and is looking to grow their career in a dynamic investment environment.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading Pan-African private equity and mezzanine finance firm, known for providing innovative funding solutions to mid-sized and high-growth businesses across the continent. With a strong track record spanning multiple funds and sectors, the firm partners with management teams to drive expansion, unlock value, and create sustainable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements for funds and related entities.
Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Support the team with VAT and income tax calculations and returns.
Provide input on improvements to financial reporting processes and systems.

Requirements:

Completion of SAIPA Articles is essential.
Professional accountant registration (SAIPA or equivalent) preferred.
Strong understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
