JOB SUMMARY:
Junior Graphic Designer/Illustrator required to join Manufacturer based in Ballito.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Designing Christmas cracker and packaging artwork
Assist the senior Repro and Graphic designer in preparing files for print
Company promotional material
Images for Company website
Photography
Product Sampling
Product catalogues
Colour standards and swatches
Assisting senior designer in all areas

Specific tasks

Generating packaging and designs based on briefs
Sampling approved packaging and designs
Photograph all sampled products
Sample all products in accordance with customer requirements
Help senior Repro artist Prepare all selected artwork to a print ready stage
Check all artwork according to the specifications and checklist verifying that all is correct.
Photograph all new content items
Photograph products for catalogue and website
Generate product catalogues
Provide generate sales administrator with all necessary images
Refresh the website look and feel yearly with fresh images
Generate marketing material for exhibitions
Create company mailers for sales administrator

Knowledge areas

Proficient in all adobe creative suite programs, particularly illustrator.
Strong creative and design skills
Illustration skills
Fast work speed
Conscientious and thorough
Competent Photography skills.
Strong time management skills
