Junior Investigator - CID Assistant

SUMMARY:
A Vacancy exists for 1X Junior Investigator: CID Assistant in the Mining Division based in North West – Glencore West Chrome Mine.
 
The suitable candidate’s main task and responsibilities will be, but not limited to, the following:

POSITION INFO:

• Handling of exhibits and recoveries.
• Managing FPR
• Taking of photos of the exhibits, recoveries and crime scene.
• Controlling and managing crime scene.
• Searching and seizure of article 49, use of force.
• Safe Keeping and managing FPR store relating to recoveries.
• Arrest, handling of suspect/s and detaining by SAPS procedure.
• Opening of BPC and SAPS dockets.
• Taking of statements of suspects and witness/es

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• Experience of investigation/ store controller/ FPR will be advantage.
• Valid Certificate of Fitness (COF) unless transferred from site without medical facilities.
• Bilingual ( English and any other South African language);
• Sound Communication Skill ( verbal and in writing);
• Good interpersonal and strong leadership skills;
• Fire Arm Competency (handgun) and Regulation 21
• Code 8 – driving Licence
• Clean disciplinary, criminal record;
