Legal Secretary / Receptionist – Cape Town CBD

Location: Cape Town CBD
Salary: R10 000 per month
Employment Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately
A legal firm based in Cape Town CBD is seeking an experienced and professional Legal Secretary / Receptionist to provide secretarial, administrative and reception support to an Attorney.
The successful candidate must be well organized, computer literate and able to manage a busy reception area while providing accurate secretarial support.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage the reception area in a professional and welcoming manner Answer, screen and direct incoming telephone calls Take accurate messages and ensure they are communicated promptly Welcome and assist clients and visitors Manage the Attorney's diary, appointments and meeting schedule Type legal documents, correspondence, letters and reports Format, proofread and edit documents Handle incoming and outgoing emails and correspondence Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems Arrange meetings and appointments Prepare documents and files for meetings or consultations Provide general administrative and secretarial support Maintain confidentiality when handling client and legal information Requirements Grade 12 \/ Matric Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Secretary, Legal Secretary or Receptionist within a legal environment Previous experience supporting an Attorney would be advantageous Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook Strong typing and document-formatting skills Experience managing diaries, appointments and telephone messages Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional telephone manner Strong organizational and time-management skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Professional, reliable and presentable Able to maintain strict confidentiality Must be immediately available Must be able to work in Cape Town CBD
