Junior Mechanical Designer

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer to support efficient and cost-effective mechanical design solutions within a manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Produce and update mechanical designs and drawings using SolidWorks and/or AlphaCAM
• Interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Support production costing by applying suitable materials and LEAN manufacturing processes
• Assist with preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations
• Maintain and manage technical and costing documentation
• Liaise with suppliers, production, and internal teams to confirm materials, processes, and costs
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve product design and manufacturing efficiency

• Solid understanding of mechanical drawings and BOMs
• Production costing and manufacturing process knowledge
• Experience with SolidWorks and/or AlphaCAM
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
