POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) with a relevant tertiary qualification

Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail

Proficiency in MS Excel and Payroll systems

Understanding of local Labour Laws (Basic Conditions of Employment Act)

Payroll Processing:

Assisting with the end-to-end processing of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll
Data capturing: accurately maintaining employee records, including new engagements, terminations, salary changes and deductions
Time & Attendance Management: validating timesheets, leave applications, overtime and clocking data, ensuring approval before processing
Statutory Compliance (SA): UIF documentation for terminations or maternity leave
Reporting & Reconciliation: reconciling Payroll reports and generating reports for Management
Query resolution: addressing employee queries regarding pay and deductions in a professional manner
System Maintenance: working with Payroll software (such as Sage, VIP)
